The Kosher Food Bank
Please note: The Kosher Food Bank is closed for the Summer and will reopen on Wednesday, September 9.
Our Food Bank is one of two Kosher depots in Toronto. We distribute bags of non-perishable Kosher foods to mostly Jewish immigrant families as well as to those in need from the surrounding community. The Food Bank is open every Wednesday between 11:00 am and 11:30 am. If you would like to make a donation, or to help distribute food bags, please call the Shul office.
Our Kosher Food Bank continues to be in high demand by those less fortunate. The list of families who need our help continues to grow and they look forward to our weekly food bag which is filled with staples for breakfast, lunch, and dinner including cereal, peanut butter, jam, canned vegetables, fruit, tuna fish, soup and pasta.
If you can spare an hour and want to perform a mitzvah, we would welcome your assistance. Donations of kosher non-perishable food would be greatly appreciated to supplement our supplies as well as any monetary contributions.
If you are making a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, consider making centrepieces filled with kosher non- perishable food , which is then donated to our Kosher Food Bank. We are making a difference!
