SholomLearning: Hebrew, Jewish Values & Israel ConnectionGrades: JK–9 | Format: Part-time, flexible, in-personLocation & Days: Mondays – TDSB (Rawlinson and Humewood Public Schools) Tuesdays & Wednesdays – Beth Sholom Synagogue

What We Teach at SholomLearning

Our curriculum is designed to build strong Jewish identity, language skills, and leadership through five core areas:

Hebrew Language & Prayer:
From Aleph-Bet and basic blessings in the early years to Torah study, prayer fluency, and Hebrew leadership in Grades 8–9. Students engage through songs, games, storytelling, and conversational Hebrew.

Jewish Values & Social Action:
Rooted in Gemillut Hasadim (Kindness), Achdut (Unity), and Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World), students learn compassion through hands-on projects, volunteering, and peer collaboration.

Israel Education:
Using IsraelLINK and Shinshinim (young Israeli emissaries), students explore Israel’s geography, history, and culture through interactive projects, mentorship, and immersive learning.

Enrichment & Experiential Learning:
Music, Israeli dance, and age-appropriate Krav Maga offer students fun and meaningful ways to build confidence, teamwork, and cultural connection.

Madrichim Leadership Program (Grades 8–9):
Older students develop leadership and mentoring skills by guiding younger peers, supporting programs, and deepening their own Jewish identity.
