Our ShinShinim

WHAT ARE SHINSHINIM?

UJA’s ShinShinim are post-high school Israeli teens who defer their army service for one year in order to volunteer in our community. Hosted by local families, UJA’s ShinShinim bring their unique stories and experiences to day schools, supplementary schools, youth movements, synagogues and summer camps across Toronto. Our ShinShinim are housed by members of our Beth Sholom Family and engage with our community as much as they can!
